2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Zermatt Silver
Ive just ventured into Land Rover country! Deposit paid.

After much toing and froing over various 4x4s ive gone with my heart and placed a deposit on a 6 month old HSE auto. Its in Zermatt with premium pack (and apparently 2009 spec)

Supplied by Farnells in Guisley W.Yorks who apart from being easy to deal with and really keenly priced seem to be only yorkshire dealer who can be ar**d to open on a sunday!

The £13000 saving on new retail price sealed the deal really and hope to pick it up in the next couple of weeks.

It looks and drives great and will hopefully tug my family and caravan, safely, swiftly and reliably.

I looked at the VW Tiguan, Ford Kuga and Honda CRV but none of them really come with the spec or refinement the FL2 appears to exude.........reliability........well only time will tell!

A Nice & Very wise choice.
I'm sure you'll be impressed with your FL2 especially as you seem to have got such a bargain.

Thought it must be. There are the select few who go for the petrol though! I'd like to try one, but the diesel is the better choice for off roading and towing. The auto box is fantastic too. Have fun and welcome Thumbs Up Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

Thanks very much, Im just working my way through the various sections of the forum to make sure Ive got most of the question marks sorted before I collect from the dealer, in particular things which need software changes or the like, Im thinking specifically of auto locking doors, total closure, mirror fold facility.

If there are are any items anyone can throw up before i hand over the balance it would be appreciated
