Worth buying?

Hi all
i'm still trying to find another FL2 and not having much luck with dealers and their silly p/x prices on my car

I've been offered a 2013 - 13plate facelift XS model in grey (colour i want) with just under 50000miles, FSH (indy + main), 18" wheel upgrade, manual, Meridion speakers, rear tints, towbar for just under £14k

Is this a good price? - same spec/ mileage cars vary between £13k - £17k on ebay. AT so i don't know what the going rate is (EH value it at £11600 but their prices aren't so reliable)
With this mileage what should i be wary of (i know to check diff for noises) - is there anything else problematic on this year?

Well, I paid £15500 last May for my 62 plate SD4 HSE with 73000 up. It's one of the first of the Evoke facelift so the same as you're looking at.
Regarding problems. At 50K I'd say you should be OK. BUT.....from what I've read on this forum, you can have a diff go at almost any mileage. If it's a TD4, throttle bodies are likely at 60~70K and clutch on a manual doesn't last much beyond 60K if it's been driven by the type that doesn't know what a handbrake is for.
As always...."buyer beware" applies. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE

yep it's a TD4
My last FL2 (59 plate) had the throttle bodies go at 70k after dealer reprogrammed new fob (cost around £120 i think).
With this having a towbar i'm a little concerned about the clutch - how much is a replacement?
Whats the going rate for a replacement diff as there must be specialists as it's a common problem?

I got rid of my 59 plate manual TD4 as the clutch was starting to slip. So I don't know what that costs. PX against my current car.

People on here recommend Bell Engineering for a replacement Diff. Apparently they fit a bigger bearing in place of the dodgy one. But again, I have no experience of this. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE

Obviously Bell Engineering are the masters at Diff Rebuilding . However we had ours rebuilt locally . Stonelake the independany in Halifax did it for £800 ish we also had the Haldex services . We got a 2 year warranty on the work. I couldn’t afford the time to go down to Bells which would have meant at least one overnight . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Pay the extra and go find one with a 2 year LR full warranty. Sit back and enjoy as no one on here has mystical powers to say Yay or Nay to a particular car. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

well £800ish is less than the £2k i saw someone quoted on here a while back Confused

I did look at LR approved cars but same spec, etc are upto £19k so if a new diff/ clutch/ etc were needed in the future it would still be cheaper to but from a non approved garage

Hoping to hear back from the garage on this XS - fingers crossed Thumbs Up

Keep looking if you are in no rush. I got a 13 plate Auto HSE on the approved program before Christmas and paid just under £17k.

I set up the saved search function on the website and kept checking daily until one came up
