2014 FL2 advice

Hi
I'm going to look at a 2014 (63plate) FL2 this weekend and was trying to find what i should be checking for.
It looks to be a facelift version (no settings knob - buttons), different dash, tiny centre screen?), etc

The car looks in the photos to be in excellent condition, silver, TD4GS, 1 previous owner and 50000 miles

I owned a 59 plate a few years ago and had a couple of problems (throttle body, key fobs) but loved it and didn't have to worry about DPF problems bt this new 1 will have a DPF so i'm a bit wary. I only drive 7 miles to work and 7 miles back so will i have to worry about DPF problems? i very rarely drive on motorways and don't want to have to go for an unnessesary long drive every so often to clean it out Sad i was thinking of gutting the DPF and remapping it out but with the new MOT tests it would probably be a bad idea?

The mileage you do 14 miles a day the DPF will be fine. If you read the forum the problems owners have had with regards to the DPF is the pressure sensor. The early models have had by now the Land Rover software update together the with replacement sensor. As for removing the DPF I definetly would not go down that road.

So how often does a regen happen and does the car have to be driven at 2500ish for several minutes as i've read on other forums in the past?

You don't notice a regen, the car doesn't show it. So it's difficult to say how often it regens the DPF. I never drive for several minutes with a rev of 2500ish. The highest revs I see for longer periods is ca 2100-2200, to get higher revs without tricks (sport mode, manual) I have to exceed the speed limits (which is ca 80 mph here in the Netherlands). And I had no problems with the DPF in a year (about 20k miles). I think you shouldn't worry to much about the DPF, the car should (and will) regen the DPF when it needs to with normal use.

I did 60k+ miles over 4 years in my last MY11 FL2.
I did not have any DPF, sensor or exhaust problems, in fact I did not notice it was there. Don't worry. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 82k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Thanks for the replies, a mate had a mazda diesel and it needed a dpf flush every now and then due to short trips which is what worried me

Around the 50k mark is there anything else i should be looking at for problems or wear (apart from consumables)?
