Well finally it’s happened since having the FL2 its never really snowed at all or it’s melted before I’ve had a chance to get her out. Yesterday I done a 500 mile trip and it was blizzard conditions at times. Got to say I knew the FL2 would be good (still got my FL1 which is excellent) but I didn’t think it would brilliant! For a soft roader you’d be forgiven for thinking you were in a D4 the way it handled over compacted ice and snow was outstanding. I was the only car in the right lane of the dual carriageway for miles. I left the terrain response in normal mode but did flick it across to grass /gravel / snow over more extreme terrain.

Agreed LR Nut. Very reassuring on snow covered roads with M+S boots on. And what a hoot to drive on snowy fields where the lack of ground clearance is compensated for by lower weight in comparison to a D3/4. Unfortunately we tend to get more by way of bovine brown snow on the roads down here but its also a very capable muck terrain vehicle.

My boss lives in a house with an uphill lane exiting onto the main road. She was driving a BMW 325d during the last heavy snow a few years back and naturally was stuck. She bought a Freelander after that winter and drove it for 3 years with barely a hint of snow. She then changed it for a 2wd Audi A3, yep she's stuck again!

Had similar experience with mine yesterday and today after snow in Shropshire.
Have all season tyres fitted and didn't have any drama at all following other cars clearly using summer tyres wheel spinning on flat roads! Around town i used the grass/gravel/snow and it seems to do a nice job of smoothing out the power band when your setting off. So glad i chose this car love it more every time i drive it. 

Took the FL2 replacement out for a spin today, not literally, quattro and winter tyres, it went everywhere the FL previously went, might struggle if it was deeper, but booting it with 350bhp was fun.
