It was both the spline and the front transfer case. Local prices here in Aus were $2900 for a refurbished transfer case and $330 for the spline. I went online and bought them both from the UK on ebay at $1100 and $180 delivered, can you believe the price difference? The first transfer case was dropped in transit breaking the case where the bolts join to the auto. An exchange of photos has them sending me a replacement which hasn't arrived yet, seems like great service. The spline hasn't arrived yet either. The first transfer case got here in about 4 working days which was brilliant I reckon.

Certainly can believe that. Did you get stung for the tax, being over $1000? (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

Didn't get hit by the tax, I don't think the delivery charge is included in the amount.

Just realised that my fuel line protection/plate and clips are missing with the pipe line being cables tied to the brackets. Photos below of the plate missing.

Does anyone know the part numbers? Struggling to find a supplier using a general search.
