Got an email from an outfit called Regit [formerly Motoring.co.uk] it says I need to press a link and sign in:

A legit site, I entered the details of a previous car and it came up with the right information, you can ignore the e-mail if you like and just go direct to the site in question. Much better than clicking a link in an e-mail
