2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Lago Grey

Broke Freelander

Came home from work last night
Put it in reverse to drive down my street then into 1st to go down my drive
There was then a loud almost snapping noise from the rear rh side followed by a clunking noise from the rear
Nursed the car off the drive & had a general look round but couldn't see anything
Went for a test drive & on full lock turning right there's a slight huming noise from the rear rh side, nothing when turning left
& a clunking noise from the rear when you go over a pot hole
Just waiting on recovery to take me to the garage
Anyone want to hazard a guess whilst I wait?

Could be several things so let us know what it is when your wallet is emptied. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Not a very good advert for a car that's supposed to be tough for off road use etc. Mind you the roads around Manchester were a bit rough last time I was there. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

Cars 10 years old with only 45k miles on the clock so yeah bit of a surprise
But happy it's only that & a cheap repair

10 years old and with such mileage! Surprised its still working then!

Has the FL2 had the scheduled 10 year service yet?

Had 10 year service back in February at A1 in Bury, highly recommend them
