United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White
[For Sale] [For Sale] [For Sale] SD4 Metropolis, one of the

After 18 years of FL1/FL2, I'm buying a late production Disco4. So, my 64-plate SD4 Metropolis is available, should anyone want a genuine, loved bargain - with full LRSH before it is traded-in.
Fuji white over black Windsor leather, 47k miles, 2 main dealer and 7 Indy services (last one was 11/23 inc MOT) Cambelt at 37450, new front discs and callipers at 41293. Good Conti tyres, incl full size spare. LR roof rack, rubber mats, cill trims and removable towbar. 825w Meridian sounds. Etc, etc. All documentation in a folder will accompany the car. It was north of £41k new. I've owned it since 01/17, with first owner for 2 years from new until 16k miles.

Never been near a body shop, no dings, dents or such. No mechanical or other issues either.
I've been offered £13k trade-in and offer it to members here at, or close to that.
The car is based in Streatley, Berkshire, or am happy to meet up within 50 miles (But I don't do London!!)
Email me at thamesider@mac.com, pm me via this forum or text/call on 07968971745. More photos/info by request.
Thanks for looking, I've really enjoyed - and benefitted from this forum - and will miss it. I've decided to stop being a good example and will now just be a terrible warning.....
2008 TD4HSE - gone but much loved.
2014MY SD4 Metropolis - very much loved.

Looks a lovely car, and at a very low mileage.

I know by personal experience that the late SD4s are very nice to drive and the Metro trim level gives a mini Range Rover experience. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)

Right on all counts, IM! It's a lovely car and I really shouldn't be selling it, but - at 78, I've probably only got one 'new' car to try before it's the Nissan Micra or Prius or whatever in my dotage!
The Service Receptionist at my local Indy said that I was "swapping the most reliable car JLR had ever made - for the second most reliable". I'll take that.
In 16 years of FL2 (2 cars), it's been service items, consumables and one diesel injector (on the TD4), and that's it.
In business, I had RR V8 petrols - at 14-18mpg, but lovely cars. The D4 seems like a good blend of FFRR and practicality. Always fancied one.
I've put a (returnable) deposit on a 15 plate HSE Luxury, low miles and full history.
Cheers. I've decided to stop being a good example and will now just be a terrible warning.....

Recapturing your youth, eh? One of my all-time favourite cars was a '60s Mini CooperS with a stage 5 Downton conversion. Probably couldn't fit inside it nowadays!🙄
Back in the late 80's I bought a Lotus Esprit Turbo as a 'toy'. My wife and pals promptly called it my 'menoporsche'.
Driving was more fun back then..... I've decided to stop being a good example and will now just be a terrible warning.....

Ha ha
I had a nice little ( actually it was tatty) mini pickup with a worn out 1071 s engine ,but with the added zest of a shorrock supercharger.
Not the thing to do as the compression ratio was too high ..
