2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Auto Zermatt Silver

Dog on Vacation

Hi to you all,

We took our dog for a short drive to the vet. Then we noticed the poor animal, a 80 Kilo St Bernard, couldn´t turn round or move a bit. Now my question is did anyone or better anyone´s dog experience the same Problem? I am thinking of having the backrests of the backseats more vertical. Did anyone think of a better solution?

Hi Henk. Why not drop the rear seats? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

I fold the rear seats and give my dog all the room, she has a harness and is attached to the seatbelt buckle. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Folding rear seats or seat down will give more room

But if it's regular and you can't have seats down due to other people in car, then get a larger car more suitable for the family and dog Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Same here but use the load hitch in boot. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Hi and a thank you to all

I made some hooks that fit into the backrests of the backseats to have them vertical. Easy to fit and remove, only the clamps on the original hooks take some time. Now I have got enough space for the dog and still can put suitcases and luggage on the backseat.
