Hi Guys

I need to fit a 13 pin electric socket to a 13 MY Freelander, I have read post saying that they are just plug and play on this model year.

My question is am I wasting money buying a genuine LR part £120 on ebay or will a Witter part work.

PF Jones tow bars in Manchester will not guarantee that the LED lights (3 each side) down the side of my Swift caravan will work has anyone out there fitted the witter electrics and do the LEDs work.

Genuine LR electrics are fully plug and play on an MY13 car and a very easy diy job. I am sure I paid less than £120 for mine from a main dealer - why not ask Dan of Duckworths (site sponsor) for a price.

I have LED position lights in both the front and rear grab handles on my Bailey Unicorn which work fine with the car. They come on whenever the car lights are on. They have never been a problem. The rear indicators, fog, reversing, tail and stop lamps are standard bulbs though.

I'm running a Witter dedicated plug and play loom on mine, purchased through our local towbar outlet.

I've got a spare genuine LR (used but good condition) wiring loom for a 13 pin set up which I don't need as I only run a trailer on mine - which I will part with at cost - PM if interested see also this thread https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic27561.html

How old are the electrics have they been fitted and what sort of money are you talking?
