2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Fuji White

bluetooth not working

hello all, i was wondering if anybody could help me out with a problem on the Bluetooth system on my FL2 XS, the phone will recognize the land rover and pair with the unit but you can transfer phone book or make or receive call via the steering-wheel controls also the phone push on button on radio unit does not do anything, i have replaced the Bluetooth with another working unit and i have got the same symptoms.
help!!

the FL2 is a 58 plate
