I have the all singing all dancing mirrors. The NS one has now developed an annoying squeak. I have done the usual move to re-distribute the grease in the mech but it only lasts a day or so before the noise returns. Will a squirt of penetrating oil do the trick or does it need dismantling to get at the offending bearing surfaces? FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory |

Unfortunately the search is not strong with this one (me). Other than the agreed method for re-distributing the existing grease I was unable to find any definitive answer as to whether a spray or full dismantling was required. Hence the question. Sorry if it disturbed you, but as others had given perfectly good answers I fail to see why you needed to comment. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory |

I used some Selleys Ezy Glide spray, which I already had for windows in the home. http://www.selleys.com.au/home-cleaning/lubricants/ezy-glide

I already said that I did not find anything useful when I did a search other than the method of pushing the mirror forward to re-distribute the existing grease/oil. So what did your dealer do to cure it? I do not wish to get involved in a guessing game, if you know something else which works just say so. FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory |
