I bought one of these recently : can't remember who recommended it but it was on of the guys on here.

Obviously at the price it is Chinese, but it's fit for purpose, big and rugged. The axle stands and wheel chocks available are excellent bits of kit. Used the lot the other day to change the rear pads on the LR then rotate the wheels on the Subaru.m 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

They are a British company and I'm sure they do make some items like gas struts, , their website is quite cleverly deceptive, and if you read it in depth . they do not claim to make the jacks etc. All of their " garage equipment " looks to be 100% Chinese, ( now't wrong with that I've loads of Clarke gear, and Halfords Pro Tools fine for the DIY -er ). If you think about it there is no way you would buy a UK made 3 tonne trolley jack for £60 odd quid never mind a 2 tonne jack for £16 ! I bought a jack, a pair of 6 tonne ratchet axle stands and a pair of rubber wheel chocks delivered for a hundred and something quid and they are very decent things

They do claim to have things manufactured by top brands in the industry, whether that includes the Shanghai Dangerous Toy and Fireworks company I'm not sure 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Always put a block of solid wood under the car in a position and height clearance so you will not get squashed as safety precaution. All tools from china have a habit of not living up to the task!

Mechanics are required to put safety pins in hydraulic hoists before they go under the car as a secondary level of precaution so they do not get squashed and killed. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

its not daft to throw your wheel under the car too, some of the polishers and buffers will check extra hard that jacks and axles stands are good to go if there is a slight chance that their alloy gets damaged whilst saving their life At work

The 6 tonne ratchet axle stands have a massive safety pin as well as the ratchet . They are an impressive piece of kit . I've always been very safety aware since the sills on my Dad's Morris Oxford collapsed ( well they would of it was well over 10 months old ..) as he was jacking it up. 2 lessons learned 50 years ago ,1) never trust a jack. 2) my Dad could Eff and Blind like a good 'un Rolling with laughter 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
