How to detach wing mirror's glass

Hi

I have to replace broken wing mirror's glass.
How to detach&pull out glass safely?
I want plastick mount(servo engine) which is under the glass to survive Smile


Should I remove mirror cap and push glass from behind?

Or don't touch mirror cap but pull out glass only?
In this case - which direction should I adjust glass position and to which direction should I pull it?
