Yep Taz, he indicated that he got the potential reason for the problem, but stopped well short of saying the FL2 is now running fine with the Evoque wheels. Confused FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Hi Ron,

Still all well that ends well even if it did cost me another fitting and balance fee.

Yes all sorted and running perfectly.

I thought I had indicated that in my previous post with my quote above.

Cheers

Tom

Hi, missed out on yours but seen over here some Range Rover Evoque 20 in. Good price too. As you said above ..I take it they just go straight on no problem?? What size tyres are you using. I will use these 20's for summer wheels..These are without so obviously need to buy but what would you recommend for tyre size if you don't mind.

Many thanks
Graham

Evoque 20'' are fitted with 245/45/20 as standard

I have Pirelli Verde all season on mine and have had no problems so far. But I have found you are very limited on tyre choice.

On Freelander 2?

I see this – Center Bore: 63.4 mm – Lug Size: M14 x 1.5 Both Cars

But ET55 on FL2 and ET45 on RR Evoque. Is that gonna affect it?

Received wisdom is that Ewok wheels will fit FL2 and DS, but DS and FL2 are not interchangeable, although FL2 can be used on DS with 5mm spacers. Unless anyone knows different??? Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

I am picking up some Evoque 20in Stormers tomorrow.

My concern is that i see the Center Bore: 63.4 mm and Lug Size: M14 x 1.5 are the same on both Cars

But ET55 on FL2 and ET45 on RR Evoque. From what i read here people have put them on straight away without having to do anything else??

If they don't fit i will just sell them on again. Truth is I want them to fit Smile

Graham

I have been running 18" evoque wheels for over two years, put straight on and wearing / handling fine. Only difference is the slight offset which moves the wheel and tyre a few mm further away from the suspension strut giving a wider stance. This is the difference between E55 and E45

I ran these in black on my FL2, before changing to other 20" silver Evoque wheels.
Some pics in my gallery.

Absolutely no issues!!

No issues at all for fitment of 20" Evoque wheels with ET45 instead of the LR2 wheels with ET55

That 10mm difference goes out, not in, clearance to the struts is not a concern. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers

Goode News :-)

Excellent Smile What I wanted to hear and see.

Can I ask what size tyres you are using or used. ?

I see 245 45 20 is standard. But I read here that 255 45 20 look a lot better? Apparently fill the arches better.

I think 255 is as big as we can go on FL2 ?

Thanks Again
Graham

255/50R20 Hankooks are what you see in that picture.

The slightly higher profile fills the arches nicer in my eye, and gives a slight lift to the vehicle as well. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE Si6 Black/Black - Hers
