How do you meen up and down like a yo-yo ,did you press the window switch and the window just kept going up and down or it just did it without you touchiong the switch Question

When closing it reopened, unable to keep closed, first time used, all other windows ok
The service manager had two others with same problem but very easy put right (few mins)
Still delighted with my car

David, have you asked what the real problem was? I've seen the problem on other cars (it seems quite common) but always wandered how it can be fixed. Do they have to take the door trim away?

It took about 5 mins in the car park, I was told the one window was not calabrated correctly, now ok

It sounds like the window had not been "expecting" to hit the top of the frame, so "thought" it had hit an obstruction and so reversed. Calibrating it to expect the window frame will correct this. Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

Window calibration is possible by the owner. I mentioned on another thread that I'd had a problem with the auto close on my windows. But, having looked in the manual there is a procedure in there for re-calibrating the open-close settings. If you go to page 79 of the manual (bottom right of the page) this explains what you can do yourself. It worked for me.

I had to explore this route myself because my dealer is not as obliging as David's for helpful advice like this.

Window will not close today...when its raining

Hi Can you explain to me how to do this reset. The passenger window will now close properly...it gets to the closed position and then opens again halfway. The best I can get it is with about a 1cm gap (not the best in the rain)

I don't have my handbook with me at present.

It was only in the dealers yesterday for another problem!
Big Cry
many thanks

Andrew

This is what the manual says. But I do't know if it will help you.

it sounds like the anti trap mechanism is causing the window to reopen as if there is a something trapped

check that there is nothing obstructing the window runners, if not get dealer to check it Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Thanks chaps

Had to follow the instructions for both overiding the anti-trap to get the Window closed & then it sounded like it was trying to close a bit more so I did the calibration routine as well.

It seems fine now...........maybe something to do with it being in the dealers yesterday for new rear high level brake light (as it was leaking), the may have disconnected the battery.

thanks once again for the help

Andrew

Yep, I had the same issue and page 79 sorted it quickly. Mack
