Green lanes trip North Yorkshire Moors Sunday 7th

Hi guys, planning a day out round North Yorks moors doing some green lanes this Sunday (7th) if anybody fancies coming.
We will be meeting in Helmsley centre at 11am, probably be out most of the day doing some relatively mild green lanes (theres a few I've done before and a few I haven't that we can try out)
Give us a shout if your up for it!

Steven

Sounds good. Bit too far for me but would certainly join one closer to home. Have a good day! FL2 2010 (Facelift) TD4 XS

Good day today, nothing too difficult, infact a normal car could have driven 60% of the lanes! Even the other lanes weren't particularly challenging, the worst probably coming down off Rudland Rig into Farndale. Didn't need terrain response at all and only used HDC coming off Rudland Rig.

Will do, I normally end up doing a few lanes if I just happen to be in the moors but I'll try and let you know!

Cheers 👍🏻

Any recommendations of places to go? I go out to the moors for a drive now and again but don't fancy getting chased by angry locals For driving across their land 😂

Rudland Rigg is alright if you avoid the steps near bank foot. The steps are do able but I wouldn't do it without tank and sump guards.
The others I would do are the one going from Commondale over Gerrick Moor, and from Danby beacon theres a really easy lane across Lealholm Moor, you could get a normal car down it...
They are all open moorland so shouldn't have any trouble. Glaisdale Rigg is a nice easy one too.
