Been looking at my phone and i think the software is compliant to the Bluetooth system, and my mums is exactly the same software that LR says is compliant , but it still doesn't show the Operator and signal strength. Confused

Looking on the results there seams to be quite a few newer cars that shows what i think are the correct details, so i think so I presume they have more upto date software on there bluetooth car modules.

Well the cars in for them to look at the weekend and will report back.

Also the cars manual shows what mine looks like on ownersinfo website, but its the same on all year models up there, like its a stock photo Neutral

What i did notice though whilst looking 2009 tells you the pairing code is always 2112 not the random code that i have so maybe the systems changed again Neutral Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Stornoway Grey

Shame there isn't a secret key press to get up the BT module firmware, then we could compare these, as I get the definate impression it's more to do with the car than the phone software.

Thank you all for your replys to the poll

I have now got my bluetooth working as it should (only been two years Embarassed )

Showing all the details, phone name, signal strength, operator.

The hands free voice dialing works better too Thumbs Up

Maybe worth speaking to your dealers next time the cars in if yours doesn't show all the deatails

Mine did try pulling the phone software card, but i could prove both phones where fully compatable, even took in a photo, showing mine (with phone software) and a other pic of how it should be Very Happy Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I beleive they did a software update

One thing they did say was when they was asking the software of the phone is the online system where you put on the last six didgets of the vin number isn't accurate and they have another system. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Scotland 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Narvik Black

For info:

Car went in for snagging work and the bluetooth unit was replaced due to poor sound quality (not the lack of provider information as reported)

Still no network provider indicated. Local dealer in consultaion with LR and LR response is that this is down to the car build NOT the build version of the blutooth unit. Doesnt sound technically correct that a "black box" system bolted into a space is reliant on the car build to indicate information that that black box uses? 07 RRS Java Black
