By 6PM last night, the bees flying outside the porch were a lot less. By 7PM none at all. This morning, none so far! Fingers crossed! Thumbs Up 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Honey bees don't tend to travel far from the colony when swarming, which suggests that you have one or more colonies nearby. Possibly a neighbour is a beekeeper, or there are buildings or other possible sites for colonies?

Chances are this will happen again, and maybe this year. If you're concerned then give the area a good clean to try to eradicate the queen's scent. This can be a draw for swarms. Nothing with a lemon grass scent though, as this will have the opposite effect.

Simon, I believe you are correct. Only seen bees making casual passes this morning. So, a few hours ago, I sprayed the eaves of the porch with dilute (2.5:50) Jeyes fluid. That should put them off the scent, so to speak! Yes, I have discovered there is a beekeeper in a nearby drive, maybe about 1/4 mile as the bee flies. They always seem to be coming from that direction (west of us)
