Indeed CG, however was referring to the brakes you could get fitted by LRSV to allow you a 4tonne trailer with a defender, although i seem to remember they were air and quite fierce! 2000 Xei 1.8 gone

There was an option on the Disco 300 for a hydraulic trailer system operated by the cars brakes at about £350 in the late 90's, one would assume that the Defender could also be fitted. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

What's the problem? The Series I was made in 1948 and it had as standard an "agricultural towbar" to tow farm implements just like that. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

I'd be more worried about the irresponsible tractor driver who is recording it as he drives on a dual carriageway! FL2 HSE Lux 2011 SD4 Gallway Green.

The defenders have two axle weights for which you add them together and you can tow .
Some are around 6.5 tonnes.

I remember well as I was stopped by Mr plod once and confessed to being over weight ( Thinking that was the reason he stopped me as towing huge trailer ) and he went on to show me the axle weights and permitted weights.
It turned out he had only stopped me to check that i actually owned the vehicle ! Jaguar x-type sport gone
Jaguar x-type 2.2d sport one of my best cars ever sadly gone
