I wonder why dealers like to inform us that a car has been owned by a Woman rather than a Male ?

As many women along with men do not know how to open a car bonnet why are punters swayed by such words ? FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Perhaps women (generally) are less likely to thrash the car or treat it badly? Not always going to be the case though so by advertising it as one lady owner, the lady could actually have been a 24 stone chavette so the car may have knackered suspension and been treated like crap. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

i can only answer for my wife, but when was the last time they washed and polished a car

I've used that argument npinks but then I get back 'well when did you last make tea, when did you last do the ironing, when did you last hoover blah blah blah'.

As I was once in the trade for quite some time (over 30 years ago) I tend to take the lead in the house in respect of cars so my wife's car on any trade in would be a dream for anyone to bag as she does not thrash her cars and are usually trolley dent free. The perfect mechanics and finish though is down to the man in the house.
