Scotland 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
intermittent starting fault

Hi guys can anyone help?
I have a 2008 TD4 HSE Manual FL2.
a few months back i inserted the fob, pressed the clutch and pressed the start button, nothing happened. The systems check did not give any errors etc. i sat for a little while trying it and still nothing, i let it roll a little to try bump it, still nothing however on pressing the button again it started.

This has been happening on and off for a few months but ive found that if i put it in gear let off hand brake and give it a push by hand back and forth it will start off the button.

It went in to the garage yesterday and had a new starter fitted under warranty but today its done it again.

I have read all about the software update that clears the trip computer, this is not happening on mine, also the steering lock not engaging /disengaging again mine is fine.

Anyone have any ideas??
