If you look on the top of the headlights with the bonnet open they have labels which will tell you. |

Standard fitment for that model of year XS spec was halogens. However the headlights might have been upgraded to xenon from new as an optional extra or retrofitted at a later date. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Looking closely it does not appear to have signature headlights so would be standard halogen. |

Have had the Freelander 2 a week now and am really happy with it. Like many on here I did find the headlights to be poor, so have fitted the Osram Night Breaker Unlimited bulbs which have improved things! |
