I had similar and it was a broken driveshaft (inside the diff) and there was no message or external sign, just a faint rattle on the overrun. Dealer that rebuilt the diff reckoned they'd not assembled it correctly.

I always go to the dealer that I bought the car from for servicing and have had numerous problems investigated without a charge. As it's under warranty you could call out LR Assist and say that there was a big bang at the back end and you are worried about driving it. I have had them out a few times and very helpful. If they find a problem they will book it in and arrange a courtesy car, 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Maybe the bang was something moving inside the car. It was 2 weeks ago now. Never called lr assist before. I'll think about it
