the only issue i could possible envisage is if you wanted to unstick the mount from the screen, the chases are the sticky pad could pull off the tint film

Why not use one of the many rear number plate type of cameras - saves all the hassle of disturbing the inside of the tailgate No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

If the rear screen is tinted from factory, it's the glass which is tinted rather than a film. If its aftermarket film, then you may have a problem should you ever want to remove the camera.
