Reading with interest a few old posts about the rating of the Trailer Fuse to handle the ALKO ATC system as we have just taken delivery of a new Caravan with ATC fitted. Some have apparently uprated the Trailer fuse from 15 to 20 Amp due to the additional load.

On my MY2013 Freelander (revised wiring system on MY2013), the trailer fuse is located in the passenger compartment fuse box behind the glove box (I seem to remember my old MY2007 it was in the spare wheel well). Checked it tonight and it’s rated at 15Amp as stated in the handbook, but I couldn't see behind the fuse box to check the cable size to make sure it would handle the extra amperage if required.

Just wondering if Land Rover has made any comment on uprating the fuse to 20Amp when ATC is fitted?

Anyone have any information on this?

Don't bother. I haven't on mine. There should be no real additional load.

I have been towing with mine for nearly three years. Just leave as is. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
