Grand Black Laquer

For those who have Grand Black Laquer Interior this may be a nice addition. I think it finishes off the interior nicely!

No, I had them done professionally by a body shop. Very happy with finish, better than the OE parts!
The piece in front of the touch screen looks great, if you have the black interior I can highly recommend this.

It's does look nice I was going to ask you how much it cost then remebered that your not in UK Laughing

My only concern is that when the suns out (not often here Rolling with laughter ) the gloss black will reflect of the nav screen unit MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Yes LRNUT, I was also thinking that but I've had it done for at least 6 weeks now and there is no reflection/dazzle. As I'm in Australia I doubt you'd have any issue what so ever. But make when you get it done that they are aware where this part goes as you will see any imperfection. I'm happy to say the people who did mine did an excelent job, it like a mirror. Photo doesn't do justice it really looks good, go for it!

Agree it does look nice if I was to go down this route I would have the gear stick surround in gloss black also. Is the handle for the glove box easy to remove?

Do you have front tints by any chance?

Nice looking car in such a unique colour. You should post some full shots of the vehicle

I don't think there is an active forum member on her with the bumper styling cover Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Ed, I was tempted by the front bumper cover, but reckoned the cost was too great for what it is, so passed on it.
Just got a Mantec instead. Wink

Stuartc, I like your touches, it's always good to see someone who tinkers away from the normal.
I see you've added the mini speaker silver surround as well as a dash screen vent, ....... are the sliver seat control buttons standard or have you added them?
Keep up the good work Thumbs Up

I added the complete silver vent kit and must say I'm very pleased with it, it really sets the ebony leather seats off well, brightens the whole black interior up and brings the feel of my GS spec up a few notches ....it was all Ed's [LR Nuts] fault btw!!!!
I also added a silver strip along the door tops on both front & rear doors, again it gives it a more quality feel.

Hey LRNUT! Very Happy The glove box latch is real easy, especially with your skills of modification Bow down 3 screws on the rear of the lid and that it. It's a bit of a riggle to get out but it comes out.

Yes, it's Australia remember!!! Cool tint all round on top of factory. Pretty much a necessity over here.

Styling cover was mainly for protection from Nobhead drivers who park by using your bumper as their guide! Censored my previous FL1V6 had the protection bar and payed for itself in protecting the front of the vehicle.
The people who did my interior Grand Black Lacquer suggested to get it finished in gloss black. I'm thinking about it but defeats it's purpose then Laughing I'm also thinking of pinching your idea of painting the D pillars but I will be doing on Gloss Black as it will work better with the Dark Aintree Green.

RONP funny you should have mention silver vent kit, these arrived today!

They're exact match for the side window vent that's already fitted.

What do you guys think? Too far? Stop now b4 I add Christmas lights Shocked

Unexpectedly I think they look good as they match perfectly the transmission tunnel surround.

Btw, blue tape just holding in place!
Let me know what you guys think? Whistle

Ron Rolling with laughter I did not tell you to buy these. My intial link was for chrome lamp guard surrounds which I would have painted in gloss black before I had fitted them. It a shame the LR will never offered lamp guards MY13 onwards Rolling Eyes

Maybe in future you should not look at the other items the seller has listed mate Laughing MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Oops RONP, Electric seat position covers are from Aliexpress. There's 2 types, Matt chrome and Chrome. I got both as I wasn't sure but ended up fitting the shinny chrome as it's best match for centre transmission tunnel finish.
Pictured below is the Matt Pair I didn't use. Speaker rings also from same supplier and are excellent finish, amazingly. Was very happy to fit, looks great Thumbs Up

I enjoyed looking through you modification thread Bow down Thumbs Up .
I was particularly interested in the grill being painted black as all our vehicles in Australia are only available in Brunel td4 and Silver SE HSE &Lux. I'm still seriously thinking about it but going to live with the FL2 alittle longer before making that decision.

Cheers Stuart the glove box handle is tempting. If you have front tints then this will minimise the glare of the gloss black trim infront of the sat nav. Sadly we cannot tint our front windows over here so I will give that a miss. I think the D pillars coded will look nice in any colour and it does make the Freelander look more solid Wink

Am I missing something here? There isn't a picture of the black dash top, and other pics don't make sense to what is being discussed?
