I take on board the negatives of the EU and I am not driven by loyalty towards any given party or view of a campaign group. Having studied EU Law at University and examined free movement of goods in particular, I will be voting to stay in. The positives for me, outweigh the negatives.

For me the issue is not about economics but more that if we leave then there is a good possibility of the rest of the EU breaking up. I think it's time we left. The EU regulations and the CAP have severely damaged our farming industry and virtually destroyed our fishing fleets. The whole organisation is corrupt and undemocratic - it would have been declared bankrupt or prosecuted for corrupt financial practices years ago if it were a public company rather than a political organisation. The European states are in decline, not helped by the "one size doesn't fit all" dependence on the unworkable Euro, and it is in our own best interests economically to look outside Europe for growth.

All that would be enough to persuade me to vote "out" but there's also the issue of immigration. We can't control our own borders unless we get out. The threat from the east of mass migration is too great to ignore. Our traditional Christian way of life is under attack.

A European Union should be better, but European politicians have proved they aren't capable of running it, unfortunately the real world comes crashing in and screws up their ideals. The financial collapse, the rise of the far right vote across Europe, people getting machine gunned down in the streets and they still won't admit there is a problem with their sacred idealistic pillars.

A shinning example of politicians screwing up the system is France, by persisting with the 'European Circus' farce. Despite all other member nations trying to put a stop to it, France veto's it because its financially beneficial to them, so everyone has to put up with it.

Despite the number of businesses who say we will be better off getting out or staying in, no one can know any of this until we find out what Europe's attitude will be to us until after we get out. The thing that really gets to me is if we vote to stay in, they will take that as a vote of confidence in them, that they are doing things correctly and may take it as a mandate to push forward faster with their integration plans.

I'll be voting to get out in the hope it will shake the system up enough so we can join up again later with a system that the people of Europe actually want, and not just a few suits.

EY has a very valid point, the problem is the Americans.
In the UK, in my industry, it is dominated by a massive American company, they sell at cost to get the business and drive competition to the wall, once they have the market then they can make whatever profit they want.

I personally think we should stay within the EU, trade would suffer otherwise I feel, however, I am also tempted to say, " we can do this, let's leave", the next few weeks will be interesting and let's keep an eye on the markets, they will give a good indication.

I had already decided to vote out before Cameron announced the results of his "successful" negotiations. What he has achieved changes nothing. We will still have laws issued by by an unaccountable elite. From a corrupt Brussels/Strasbourg that cannot even get its accounts certified - ever! Beware making decisions based on emotions and what the Daily Mail or similar tell you. This is the biggest decision any of us will ever make, it's not like a general election where we can always vote them out next time, this is a one off and unlikely to be repeated. I voted to join the Common Market in 1975 set up to be a trading block to stop the French and Germans having a war every few decades (in that respect it has been successful) however it has morphed into something else but I am not sure that we can assume that leaving will fix our problems. Whatever happens to Europe will affect us whichever way we vote. To think otherwise is simplistic.
