I have checked using the search function if this has already been dealt with but can find nothing.
Our problem is that the satnav in our 2013 FL 2 has been a let down for a while now but when ever I asked at a dealer the story was that "the upgrade will be due in the next few months".
Does anyone know if there really is an upgrade available and if so whether it is an improvement ?
Also, before our warranty runs out in April, is any upgrade included in the warranty period ?
If not, and assuming it does eventually appear, how does one go about getting it ?

From what I understand the update is via a memory stick plugged into the USB socket, and takes around 2-3 hours or so. The cost is about £160 I believe. I would think this is not something covered under warranty.

I am interested in having mine done (also a MY2013) but reluctant to shell out without knowing how much better it is.

Your local LR dealership should be able to advise further.

Thanks for the info. I've since spoken to two dealers who tell me it's never been part of the warranty cover and also sent the link for the 2016 upgrade:

A check showed the upgrade available at £169 which I think exorbitant. Especially to fix something that was not really very good when installed.

can't allow them to be link to on the forum, but google is your friend when searching for satnav disc updates, but you pay your money and take your chances

LR won't be updated as they switched to built in HD maps, but other vehicles using the same system are updated, such as volvo Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Sat Nav updates for the HDD Navigation System can be done in 2 ways.
1. USB In the vehicle via the USB drive.
2. Via SDD at the dealers. MY15
