Hi guys, I am driving a 2010 LR2... as far as I know, I dont have a DPF... but yet today I had all the reduced engine power warnings with a code referring to "diesel particullate filter differential pressure too low", so naturally... I am very confused.

I dont have a chance to get under the car, because it is wet, and I am in the middle of a forest... is there any way to get eyes on the sensor? where in the engine bay is it located?

Some overseas markets did have them and you could also spec one if you wanted one, so yours could indeed have one?

it would indeed seem that I do, as I am getting codes:

P244A Diesel particulate filter differential pressure too low (Bank 1)
P2453 Diesel particulate filter differential pressure sensor - circuit range/performance

I would still like to have a peek at the sensor, shouldnt be too hard to swap out? Does it need calibrating etc?

well, I got under the car today, as I had to change to studded tyres and redo all the brakepads... I had a look at the DPF sensor, and there doesnt appear to be anything wrong with it.. everything is connected, no leaky hoses.

I am dropping a couple of AMP's on my battery, and after resetting the codes on the ECU, I am back to "pending" on P244A. Any ideas?

I had something similar on my 2011 with a DPF. Here the codes were apparently misleading.

turned out I had the same problem as DORSETFREELANDER

perished hose, fixed for free by my local dealer, he put a rubber brakeline on there, no need for clips. so just pull the bad stuff, off, push on the rubber brake hose, clear the codes using a cheap dongle and mobile app, and you are good to go.

You dont need to take off the "protection" plate, just get your hand in there, although it helps a lot if you have a lift.
