Best brake disk pad suppliers

Hi all

She is in need of some new pads / disks on the rear. As she has done 70K and this is the 2nd set of pads, I am tempted to replace the font pads and disks at the same time.

Does anyone know where the best place to go is? As it's a MY13 with EPB it needs different rear disks / pads to earlier models.

Here's a couple of quotes from my earlier posts on this topic

Quote:
Anyway I have finally sourced the correct parts I need - For the record here are the part numbers TO FIT CHASSIS NO DH000001 ONWARDS

Rear Disc LR Part Number LR039935 (BritPart No DA4688)

Rear Pads LR Part Number LR043285

The pre 2013 discs DO NOT FIT the later models with Electronic Parking Brake
NB EuroParts do not offer an equivalent part - their on-line part finder (and BREMBO's too) will point you to the wrong parts
(CORRECT In February 2016 - may be worth checking now)

Anyone know (OP?) the spanner and socket size used to remove the calliper and calliper hanger bolts, particularly the spanner used to brace against the socket?

You will need
rubber gloves
13mm and 15mm combi spanners (I also used the same size sockets for quicker dismantling and rebuild)
a T45 star spanner/socket (which also fits the 13mm caliper bolts
a clamp for resetting the brake piston
Some copper slip grease
Don't forget a torque wrench for tightening up afterwards
Also something to clean up the hangers, dust shield and calipers an airline is useful for that the dust gets everywhere
De-greaser for the new discs

Easy job Thumbs Up

Being Christmas, a few suppliers are shut. Ended up getting them from JGS 4x4, I have used them before for disco stuff. Gone for Britpart disks with Mintex pads. All 4 corners for £164. Local supplier quoted me £280. They won't be here until later next week as they don't have the rears in stock being 13my - least I know (hope) I am going to get the correct parts. Also need to swap steering reservoir / fluid as the steering is making a few noises and the pressure is fluctuating - hopefully it is just a blocked filter. Amazingly local dealer had this in stock and was cheaper that fleabay! 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone
