2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver
Just bought a Silver XS

Hi, New on here, but just (about 10mins ago) put a deposit on a FL2 XS in Silver. It's a 57reg & I managed to get it for £18k with only 10k miles on the clock. I also got the dealer to throw in 12 months tax, mats & fitting of the removable tow hook into the deal. I should be picking it up next w/e...can't wait as it made the Ford Kuga feel like a transit Very Happy

Podcast, you will smile all the way. Had a good look at a Kuga tother day its real thin tin. You have chosen well and that sounds like a real mean deal. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

Thanks, I work in the procurement business, so I enjoyed the challenge although LR's tactis on the Hire Purchase are nothing short of outrageous! They were offering 5.25% HP which on the face of it looked attractive, but after a few sums & a phone call with HSBC, their deal was way better & saved me close to £1k overall (interest refund on completion of loan & no fees)! Very Happy

However, I let the dealer think I was taking their finance right up until the last minute, then broke the bad news...but as they were close to a sale they came back in 10mins & said we had a deal Laughing despite them 'losing' £1k on the finance deal Big Cry

Looking forward to picking her up next week! Thumbs Up

You won't be sorry!

IMHO, he XS is the best spec/price mix. Other than the sat nav, sunroof and arm rests, I cant think of too much that the SE or the HSE has over the XS - at least not taking into account little things like heated seats and pro-logic stereo. I suppose it has leather seats but I tend to forget that coz I got the Alcantara/Leather seats in mine as an option.

*waits for abuse form the plethora of HSE drivers!* 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..

Cant see my towbar when its not in use - the option most self respecting FL2 owners choose I would guess Question

Would have thought a towbar would be very useful for a farmer Question so either CG is not a REAL farmer or maybe he has towbars mounted secretly all his other farm eqipment but dare not tell us Laughing 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

towbars! I HAD to have a towbar... 4 x 4 on land... and on the trailer 4 x 4 of the sea, the rigid hulled inflatable boat!
Major selling point for me was ability to wade the FL2 in deeper than the BMW I previously owned when launching the boat. Towbars are cool - now - if they made an FL2 bumper with a concealed power winch that would be happening! Thumbs Up 2008 XS, Baltic Blue, Privacy Glass, Full Leather,

Come on folks... I said I towed a boat ... Not used the FR2 as one!
Mind you I could think of some cars that would have made better boats!

Picked up my XS this morning, very impressed...just need to learn how to use all the toys! Even the removable towhook doesn't spoil the look too much, when removed Thumbs Up I just need to paint the white plug black Whistle
