Had a search on this but the only thread links to a page that no longer exists.

Are there any particular storage methods you should use for any spare wheels, like a set of winter/summer wheels and tyres? I know you should store rims with tyres flat but tyres with no rims standing upright. But in terms of conditions should they be protected? I know they don't get protected when on the car but I thought it worth asking.

I currently have mine in the garage which is nice and dry but I'd like them out for the space and could store them in my basement, which is cold and damp. If stored in the basement should they be covered/wrapped to stop any form of deterioration.

No, they will be fine, Direct sunlight is your worst enemy.
Probably put a tarp on the floor or elevate them so that there is no direct contact with the Damp floor as this may leave a mark. MY15

Bags4everything might have what you want.

Their standard wheel bag (9inch deep 28inch dia) would be a bit tight for a Freelander wheel but they do made to measure as well. Mine, Saab convertible

I'm thinking about getting these for my 22's and will also use them for the 19's but I can't seem to find anything that will cover the complete alloy in a 22" size

I always make sure they are clean and dry,good pressures,with no tyre dressing left on ,i keep mine in a dry shed old carpet on the floor ,and use bubble wrap on top between the wheels ,laying flat ,couple of old towels on top to proect the alloys, ad i rotate them half way through the summer/ winter during storage ,
