Quote : but it is entirely possible that some people did so in a state of shock and panic and upon later reflection would agree that it was wrong. Who knows what was going through their minds.

Good job in a state of shock they didnt chuck their bags off and then stay on the plane themselves isnt it.i

On a positive note at least they were flying BA where the emergency evacuation chutes are complimentary.

If they had been flying Ryanair, there would have been a €50 emergency evacuation charge payable to the cabin crew at the door.*

*Kingdom Bank of Outer Mongolia Debit Cards are fee free, all other debit and credit cards attract a €15 levy. Customer wishing to avoid the Emergency Evacuation Charge may jump from the front doors where chutes are not fitted. Terms and Conditions apply.

A colleague of mine was late for a meeting with a client in Stockholm, when he finally arrived he smelt strongly of booze. This did not go down to well with the client.
His excuse was that as they started the landing approach a passenger got up and fiddled in the overhead locker. In the process he managed to smash a litre bottle of whisky which drenched my colleague who had to sit there as the plane landed. Despite assistance from the crew he was then detained for a short while by the airport police as being in a drunken state as he absolutely reeked of whisky. In the end he managed to get a new suit paid for but the client was deeply suspicious. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
