LR Back box paint

Hi Dan,

My New back box got a little scuffed up on the way over from your fine country (UK) and was wondering if there is a part number for a touch up spray that matches the original finish?

Might as well attend to this before putting it on.

Don,t use paint on back boxex up in sheep country (scrapes off on the rocks anyway )

Dried sheep dung works well (for best effect apply liberal amounts whilst still warm , gloves optinal ..)

Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )

Hit an Emu on the Nullabor from Sydney to Perth and thank'd me by emptying its bowel all over the front bonnet of the Freelander, was not fun getting that off! MY15

I just used some black heat resistant manifold spray on paint, its still on there so it worked ok. Thumbs Up

I did a test patch with this today and it seems a very good match, perfect actually. Says it's heatproof to 300 c. What do you think?



Just a note! I thought I'd make sure there was no oil/grease on a test area I was spraying so I sprayed the area with isopropyl alcohol and it pretty much removed the original black finish to Stainless Steel. So if anyone wants to remove the black finish I suggest you hit it with some isopropyl alcohol and it's just rubs off! MY15

It was most definately an Emu! Big difference in size!!!!
