The Fl2 isn't an overly large car for one person, if the budget will allow why not try and get a newer Fl2.

I'm a single guy with no kids and have owned nothing but LRs, the DS is my 7th. I went from D4 to DS because it's smaller and more fuel efficient and still has room for the dog but I'm now thinking about going back up to a D4. The DS is a great car but I'm not overly impressed with the whole package.

What ever your decision make sure you can live with it.

My freelander has the same droning noise when accelerating in 6th gear its seams to be caused by a noisy front prop bearing which I ain't replacing until it gets worse. For some unknown reason you need to replace the complete prop which includes the bearings £600 approximately.

I am thinking of trading my freelander in for a Isuzu d max or a new ford ranger as the road tax etc are cheaper at £210 a year as they are classed as light commercial.

If you look you can see the orange FREEL2.COM stickers on the rear windows, although they have now removed them

Sad to see it go but it just made sense to me now after changes in home and work life. Ive still been browsing round here particularly at the problems with rear diffs and the more I read the more Im convinced there was a problem with the diff bearings. So financially it made sense after having the service, discs/pads, DMF and Clutch replaced in the last month. I couldn't really stretch to a another possible £800 so soon after.
