Hard to close doors

Hello,

my brand new 2014 Freelander had the problem with doors which were very heavy to close.
Only one was acceptable but three were unacceptable and this issue was noticed by me in the showroom so it isn't mine usage releated issue but factory mouting problem.

I reported this to the authorised dealer and all they done was loosening the hooks. Now all doors are closing easily but doors stand out of car when fully closed (see photo) and the car is very noisy (+4dB more when traveling 60mph).

Really don't know how to speak with this morons.

Wait a while until the new seals compress then it will be ok, lots of new cars have doors that take more effort to close until the seals become squashed a little, problem with adjusting now you will end up with rattles and wind noise before long, and maybe even worse water ingress, best just to put up with it.

The doors are mine can be difficult to close at times, if you throw the door to from a distance it compresses the air inside the car and makes it bounce back, if you close slowly and then push harder for the last inch (25mm Laughing) they close fine.
Your dealer making the gap bigger is talking out of their arse.

The part is called the striker or latch, this is in the LR parts catalogue LR000565

LR call that a striker in their documentation. Also known as a striker plate or latch plate.

Thanks for Pab for the word.
No I have two solutions:

1) talk to the dealer and force them to adjust not only door stikers but also door hinges (not touched yet)

2) come back to last state trying to adjust stikers only and reach hard to close doors and no gaps (and wait for seals compress what Landiroamer said)

But don't have knowledge how to adjust stikers myself!
Tried one of these, and horizontal adjustment is easy but i don't have knowledge how to find best vertrical adjustment of stiker?

How about you lower one window when you get out of the car, just a fraction so it gets rid of the air pressure inside the car when you close the doors and then use global close on your keyfob to shut the windows as you lock the car??

You are right Landiroamer, your knowledge is better than the knowledge of JLR's authorised service station.
I discovered I have no problems when closing doors with opened windows so it's air compression issue.
Does it mean my problems are releated to air ducts?
I mean these exhausters behind the rear light lamps and it's air ducts.
