It's true that if the only qualification for presenting TG is that you have to be a complete a**e, then Chris Evans is right up there with Jeremy Clarkson.

However, the big difference is that Chris Evans is a real car enthusiast, whereas Jeremy Clarkson knew nothing about cars when he joined TG all those years ago, and I suspect he has learned nothing since.

Perhaps now we'll have some intelligent and technical stuff on TG, instead of just a lot of burnt rubber.

Technical stuff from Evans?

I stopped listening to Radio 2 after Wogan left - a few weeks of CE was enough - to me he's just not funny. Wogan had me laughing so much I had to stop the car some days.

I'll reserve my opinion until Ive watched the new TG - Id like it to be more technical but CE might be too much. I couldnt stand TGIF - maybe Im just too old. Jules

i quite like CE, think it might be a refreshing change to have him instead of the other three on TG, it was the same thing week in week out before JC got the boot

CE might not be practical, but was JC? RH & JM were to some degree Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
