Self Locking. One day then not the next? Whats the rule?

I thought I was going nuts, washing the 'van' as we call it. Every 5 minutes or so the mirrors going back as I am trying to wash. Initially I thought it was me activating from my pocket. So keys to one side and it locks itself. Never done it before but figured this could be handy as we use it as a commercial. So today I tell my colleague to watch out for the new 'self' locking and da da it doesn't do it. Now I know it didn't before, categorically did at the weekend and today it doesn't. Am I missing a trick or do I need an exorcist?

On a separate note our commercial Freeloader was loaded to the gills last week for a job in South France. Typically 100mph on the AutoRoute's and swallowing up un made up roads in Provence all in saloon type comfort. What a vehicle. 2012 GS Converted-

It will relock if you don't open any of the doors after unlocking with fob.
