Yup mine does the same mate. Perfectly fine, sign of good turbo pressure and wastgate doing its thing. I quite lile the wastegate noise much better than a dump valve lol. |

There's no wastgate on the FL2 Turbo. |

i could be wrong here but i believe there is an internal wastegate as with most turbos. Wastegate/dumpvalve pretty essential on petrol as the sudden snap shut of the throttle body would cause turbo to stall and damage it.

There is no internal wastegate on a modern VNT turbo. The boost pressure is controlled by the VNT actuator, which moves vanes inside the turbo, altering the speed the turbo spins at.

Fantastic explanation - thank you! Interesting remap advice. I was thinking of having a remap done even though I'm happy with its performance.
