My Quick Weekend Clean

Well it has been a busy weekend.

Started Saturday with a Super Snow Foam soak, then onto a wash with AG Shampoo & conditioner using the Two Bucket method and a noodle washing mitt.

I then spent the afternoon using Meguires clay bar and detailing spray as the lube.

The car was then rewashed, this time with Zy Clear and dried using a large microfibre.

I decide to then polish the bumpers, using my new Megs G200 machine polisher and Lake Country 100mm CCS polish spot pad.

Since on this occasions I was going looking at gaining experience I opted for AG Ultra Deep Shine. Then a coat of Zy HD Cleanser and topped off with a layer of Collinite 476s sealant.

At this stage i had been at it for 4 hours so called it a day, knowing the weather forecast was good for Sunday.

Sunday up and out at 8:30am and rewashed the car with Zy Clear wash, dried and on to a good few meters of 3M tape to protect the plastic bits.

This time I opted for AG Super Resign Polish and Lake Country 165mm Polishing pad, but didn't use the Zy HD Cleanse as I wanted to keep the polishes fillers in place.

Spread the polish on speed 2 like before, then did 3 passes on speed 5 working on sections about 1.5' x 1.5'

Once the remaining panels had been finished, the whole car got a good (but thin) coating of the Collinite 476s

The wheels was cleaned using P21s Red Gel and brush, I also like to use a sponge to give them a good going over, dried using MF towels, then a good coating of Poor Boys Wheel Sealant wax for the protection.

Megs High Endurance Gel on the tires which had been cleaned using Megs APC and a stiff brush.

Then I did the leather interior with the Razeglaze Balm, which has left a great new leather smell in the air

After another 5 hours today I called it again (due to the wife complaining)

I now just need to APC and IPA the plastic trims prepping them for the Black WOW, and AG Glass polish the windows

After a total of 9 hours on my car, I'm happy with the results, there are a few swirls, but this wasn't a paint correction polish, That will be the next time Very Happy

Heres a few photos for you to look through Laughing

Having spent a few less hours out there today on my first wash - I'm with you. Why do women not get it?

I reckon I've improved on the dealers prep, which was full of smears and yet, she still moans and says I should've cut the grass and laid some wooden flooring.

I took some pics and if I knew how to upload them, I could share the fruits of my labour. Bit gutted I didnt tape the trim like you did but I'm sure I'll aspire to that one day!

Cheers Shar

I been waiting for ages to get this done, finally a weekend were the wife was out and the weather was good.

Thats only half of what i have in my car washing kit, I normally buy from some online retailers as the products are better than Halfrauds.

Lets just say I could have a week in spain for the same money Whistle

Nice work, did your lad come in handy polishing the underbelly? leave the blue tape on it adds something. Did you take the side tubes off and give them an all round polish At work
