Australia 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Narvik Black

Yes, it is a great trick on a hot summer day. I used it frequently last summer and probably will again this summer.

Range is definitely over 50M and really made a few people stop and stare. What a shame it does not open the sunroof. Regards Ub2

Oh to have some sun to use this feature Big Cry , Saying that I've had it on VW's and Audis for several years but rarely used it.
Years ago I drove to the south of France in an Astra and the steering wheel lock used to get so hot in the sun that it had to be wrapped in a towel to avoid burning your hands. Sadly the Astra had no AC, I think I lost a stone on that holiday driving down the peages in 33+c heat with all the windows open. Sun burnt on the arm nearest the window only Laughing At work

If you get bored you can sit somewhere remotely and activate the 'personal alarm' which starts the horn sounding and then have your windows go up and down , wing mirrors flapping in and out all at the same time.... then see the look on the pedestrians faces Rolling with laughter .... don't do it too much though otherwise you'll have no battery left Big Cry

First make sure the one touch windows are working and if not reset them and then try again. Worked on mine from day one.

Hi,

My windows open with the remote, but will not close.
Also they do not close with one touch I have to hold the switches
What do you mean by restting and how do I do it?

Thanks

when you close the window keep the button held for a few more seconds, (you should hear a faint click)

that should sort out the auto closing, and maybe the key fob closing too Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Nope!

Made no difference I'm afraid.

Thanks anyway, if all else fails I may have to read the manual.

The book explained it all, and now sorted, you have to release the switch and then hold it for 2 secs.

Since I had the rear passenger door replaced I can't get the "one touch" function to work on it when closing it. It's ok going down but not coming up Confused , tried following the manual but no joy Big Cry ______________________

it maybe something that a bloke with a laptop could switch on, Idea

I think they use autologic, if you can find somebody over your way, maybe a independent service center.

Might be worth asking or looking into it, I doubt a LR garage would do it Thumbs Up

Great suggestion! Very Happy

Have you found anyone in the US that could perform the laptop switch on?

The all-open and all-close featurre only works on the windows that have been set up for one-touch opening and closing.

You can do this on each window that you want to be (a) one-touch and (b) all-open by pressing the window down button down for two seconds after the window is fully down and up for two seconds afte the window is up. DOing the same again will disable the feature. Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red
