Not sure about your main beam there, mine would be close to your lighting bar?

limitation of the phone camera, in actual fact the xenons are very bright, the phone does not seem to
be capturing that - especially on main beam, and in real life the light bar is far brighter than the video depicts

I may try to capture another video, and change the phone settings

I tried recording mine last night and the light doesn't show up as clear as you say, so your lighting bar must be pretty awesome! Cool Laughing

I have been looking at veriuos way of getting more light including HIS Kits and spot light but now looking at LED.

I thinking a 20" LED LIght bar above the front number plate may be an option and saw this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371290249687?_tr...BIDX%3AIT. In your opinion how good are these light bars. Do they cover long distance like a spot ligh (narrow beam)

yes, they are very bright and the beam extends a long distance, not sure on mounting over the numberplate.
I offered mine up ther, and it looked very odd.

If I ever move it, I will have a body shop cut out the grill and fir it properly Smile

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

Only just seen this thread, don't suppose you still have the seller details handy and what you paid? Was the wiring kit up to scratch? I searched as you said and theres loads, don't want to end up with something made out of tin foil and cardboard!

Ive been looking to get this sorted for a while but never got round to it but your thread has spurred me on! Was wiring it in and getting the switch inside quite easy?

Just need to find a front rack bar at the right price (none roof rail type)

30INCH 180W CREE LED WORK LIGHT BAR SPOT FLOOD TRUCK OFFROAD 4WD UTE 12V 24V

it worked out as as £150 GBP ($282 AU)

wireing required a little imagination, its earthed via the roof bars, with the live running under the windscreen rubber edge. The supplied wiring was fine, though the switch is a little basic.

it came with the wireing and switch.
It is a stick on surface mount press to make (locking), with LED to indicate when powered, and the light is on.
