I'm just over the border in Derbyshire. I am also on the lookout for a Fox Red when my Chocolate Lab decides he has had enough. Do you know if there are any breeders in the Midlands? Yours looks stunning. |

I'm a member of Dove Valley gundogs, the secretary Guy breeds them and is based in Uttoxeter. If he doesn't have any he'll certainly know people.

He seems to have no problem but he's only 1.5 and only just started doing it to protect his hips during his puppyhood. Took him quite a while to get the hang of it but now has no problem, can do it from a sit at the boot edge and leaps straight into the box in one go.

Out 13 year old black lab still manages to jump in the back of the Freelander OK. |
