Tried to find info on stop/start system, to no avail. Had the car 3 weeks now and stop/start has not operated once.

Doesn't work if there is a large difference between the cabin temp and the outside temp. or at least mine doesn't. |

The stop/start doesn't work below temperatures of 4 degrees. Now mine never worked properly since I bought the car. It worked ok in the summer but not in winter. The battery needs to have a good charge in it. Small journeys in such as towns can affect the charge of the battery. I got a new AGM battery in December and my stop/start works a treat now, its been fine this winter, works if the temperature is 4 degrees or above and when the air con is operating.

The one near me must be quiet, they sent me an email today saying that I'm due a service as it hasn't been to them since November 2013, must be 15 month intervals now |

All you need to know about stop/start from the Owners Manual.

Hate it. I switch it off every time. I just wish it could be permanently disabled..... * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. Orkney Grey with privacy, cold and clearview packs, armrests (a must!) and a spoiler.

Is switching it off the same as permanently off, or does it reset each time the ignition is operated? 2013 Dynamic Santorini black

Resets each time the ignition is operated. As far as I'm aware it is not possible to permanently switch it off.
