Electric drivers seat movement when driving

I have notice when braking and accellerating the drivers seat clicks/moves slightly forwards and backwards on the runners. Everything seems tight so wondering if this a common problem with electric seats and the worm drive

Edit:

Did a google search and found I am not the only ferson on this forum and found a post with a link to this https://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/albums/u...atrock.pdf

It is one of a number of issues that seemed fairly common a year or two ago. The other biggy for a while was the issue with the fuel gauge reading low when there was plenty of fuel as a result with a fault with the sender units in the fuel tank. My MY2010 car had both issues which were sorted by the dealer under warranty.

I had the same Problem with my 2012, Dealer said they improved the seats underbody on the last facelift 2013 -> so, if you have warranty, change the underbody with the new models version

I sorted mine with a very crude mod. I noticed at the full back of forward position it does not move so I simply got the seat where I wanted it and drilled a small hone in the runner and slotted in a pop rivet (Not actualled pop rivited) and then move the seat a touch until it would not move.

Sorted, no rocking/moving seat Smile

Had this issue with my 08, started on the drivers seat and was noticed on the passenger seat but only a small amount. Anyway the fix as I was informed by the dealer was to remove the cable winder that did the forwards / back movement and I believe twist it tight to remove slack and replace. The drivers side could be completed without removing the seat as it is height adjustable. The passenger seat had to come out as access is limited.

I do not think its a problem that you can look at and diagnose as I had previously had the seat out to try and source the problem with an independent whilst having other work completed.
