Hiss

Hi,

Does anyone else have a slight hiss on the audio system? Noticed it on the radio first and thought it wasn't tuned right. Further fiddlingshows it to be best heard with engine off and turn it down to mute - there is no noise then. as soon as you turn the volume to 1 or more, the hiss starts and you can hear it until the radio audio is loud enough to drown it out. It medium volumes it is still there but difficult to hear. AUX clearly does the same - and with it turned up but no input it is picking up a lot of noise from somewhere.

It's the premium audio in an HSE.

Sorry Gordon My HSE is CRYSTAL CLEAR....even my freeview tv through the Aux or the dvd's....suggest visit to the dealer

I don't have noise when the radio is on, but switch to AUX with nothing plugged in, then i get a buzz, not me the radio.

Same here. I don't have noise when the radio is on, but switch to AUX with nothing plugged in and there is a buzz from the radio.

Anyone have any idea if it might be worth giving the radio and or amp new earthing points?

Glad I am not the only one, hiss when nothing playing from vol setting 1 on. Buss in aux mode

Did you get any further with this

An unterminated audio i/p will usually introduce extra noise in a circuit. Noise will always be specified with a specific termination.
