Recently having a rethink about powering the DAB ECU from the main Amp supply as this isn't a part of the MOST link break diagnostic circuit I discovered that the amp also has another supply which is from the Link Break Circuit, so I decided to take power directly from the RJB DAB fuse. Now this sounds obvious but ushers up a challenge as getting a pigtail for the fuse termination would be doubtful. Well on investigating of the RJB it turned out that there was already spare pigtails in the position for the DAB circuit.



And on closer investigation realising that In fact the spare pigtail was the Link Break Circuit gang (4mm Grey/red) and actually the Blue/red wire coming from the other end of the DAB fuse was the DAB ECU supply wire - well stone the crows!!!!
So now it appears that some of the wiring is already present. All I need to do
now trace back the wiring to where it's terminated. From the RJB (C4BR02G) the only connector is the main
Harness (from RJB) to telematics harness (connectors C23V and C23 U).



From here the DAB ECU connects via a solder joint S4BR03A. So I'm guessing this will be terminated at the drivers side d-pillar and it's just a mater of me connecting directly to this wire.



This project just got even easier, thanks LR

Plan tomorrow is to install ECU and DAB Power supply and ground.
All I need to do now is wait for the new coax cable that the supplier stuffed up previously and this will be completed!  MY15

Blue/red DAB ECU supply wire from C4BR02G (RJB) to C23V (telematics plug), position 5, found, rear d pillar passenger side.


As you can see the blue/red DAB ECU supply wire goes into C23V (bottom female plug) but blue/red wire/pin is missing from C23U (top male plug). So this is where I take my supply from and will add a pin into C23U.
Note that position 4 is the amp main power (Red) and position 1 is amp link break supply (yellow/red). MY15

WARNING!!! - next photo may disturb some people!!!!



Telematics plug disassembled and have found a suitable pin/female to use. Unfortunately colour is red but a bit of blue insulation shrink wrap will do wonders. Wire is also 1.5 instead of 0.75 but this is ok, smaller diameter would be an issue as this is a supply wire.
This is really easy, don't be put off by the level of dismantling. Once you've done it a few times you can do it with your eyes closed. The donor door wiring harness I've disassembled previously was a good learning ground for this level of, well, dismantling  MY15

Telematics plug back together with DAB ECU supply connected.



Have removed the main DAB fuse and will do some final checks with the multi meter and DAB ECU also in place.



Only things remaining is connect MOST loop, this will literally take 2 minutes.
Connect coax cables and DAB Amplifier and L-Band receiver (dome).
Then edit CCF, 1 field, "DIGITAL AUDIO BROADCASTING" and this project is done! MY15
