Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

Laughing Them cup holders are very handy and very very large especially with the inserts removed! Large enough to hold the super size shakes with ease that the yanks love!

We're not a fan of the auto boxes! The TD5 D2 auto boxs were crap any clued up dealer who actually sold them new will tell you! The newer auto boxes are better but not too my liking! At LRE I shocked at how much turbo lag the FL2 SD4 had in normal D mode!

Plus manuals are still classed as a drivers car Wink MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

But the best drivers have cars that operate the clutch for them Rolling Eyes I think you will find that the manuals are a Luddites car. Whistle

Today's autos have too many gears, my D4 is brilliant but at times it scrambles around trying to find the best gear.

The constant problems with Evoque 9 speed swayed me to go manual in the DS. The coaches at work are going away from full autos to 12 speed automated manuals (volvo I-shift), they took a bit of getting used to, pulls away in 4th and skip shifts to 7th and the delay is immense, not handy when pull out into heavy traffic at peak times, you get used to eventually a good bit of kit overall. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

The TD5 I had was manual, very long throw on the stick, after awhile it would become a pain to shift, it was sticking in gear, reported it, they looked at it and said they were all like that, well it wasn't when I bought it, three months later out of warranty came off the M40, went to fourth and then couldn't change gear, stuck in fourth, as you know, you could put in in Fith at forty, managed to drive the twenty miles home in fourth, LR fitted a new box, FOC.

A common fault with some late TD5's was a tight 1st gear Laughing Tata has transformed LR around as in the past they would fit a brand new faulty part and hope for the best Rolling with laughter

JLR now at least indentify the problem and get it rectified!

Shocked 20 miles in 4th I'm guessing you didn't meet any traffic Laughing

Ps now I know why you hate manuals Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

It was remapped, you could easily put it into fourth at 30, so just had to get it moving, put it in Low Range, then shift to High Range, two speed Disco Laughing
Sold it for an 07 Manual Freelander 2, then on to and Auto SD4 early 2011, haven't looked back Thumbs Up
