A strange experience with SAT/NAV & radio. Every time!

Every time when I drive to my log-cabin in the mountains, -whether it is to or from, there is one particular spot on the road that knocks out my SAT/NAV and radio. It only lasts for a couple of seconds, so when I have passed this particular spot, the system turns itself on again.

Same spot. Every time.

I think this is very strange. I dont know what it is in this area that knocks the system out.

The radio turs itself on directly to the station that was on, but the SAT/NAV I must "restart", like as when I am starting my car.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Any possible explanation? 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

If it's in the same spot every time than it's not the fault of the Sat-Nav or radio. Maybe an interfereence from a millitary instalation. FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

No military installations in that area, as far as I know. (perhaps it is top-top secret) Wink 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

I have had what your describing but in totally random places, dealer did the usually software reset or as i now call it a fob off reset.

If it happens in exactly the same place, like Matei says sounds like something is jamming/blocking the signal

You might find what is called a radio "Dead Spot".

It's an area where, for some reason radio signals are unable to be received probably due to the natural rock formation in that area.

Hope that helps explain it Very Happy ______________________

A good thing that it is so secret that no one knows where to drive to find it.

Well not knowing exactly were your mountain cabin is Viking it is not easy to tell if it is a top secret site or not. All I can say is cabin is in Hallingdal and my SAT-NAV never drops off, so no secret hidaways or UFO's in Hallingdal Thumbs Up

I seem to remember you had a problem with the FL2's battery while parked at your cabin, so maybe its UFO's/Alians in the area sucking your 12V - Maybe its time to move to a safer area Rolling with laughter 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

My cabin is at Gaustablikk, near Rjukan (Heroes of Telemark), but this happens between Skien and Gvarv, by lake Nordsjų. So far from my cabin.

Perhaps the monster in lake Seljord (a cousin to Nessie) has moved to lake Nordsjų? Wink 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

The UFO's has probably lost their way, and need to check into a SAT/NAV to find out where they are..... 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.
